In this episode of the program "Late Honeymoon Wedding Room", the client Hu Sijie and his wife lived in an ordinary residential house with an area of about 130 square meters in Shanghai. When it comes to married life, the client said that it has been seven years since he and his wife met and fell in love, but they have not had a honeymoon so far. The client, Hu Sijie, hopes that with the help of the program's designer Lai Jian'an, he can re-create a brand new wedding room for himself and his wife, and make up for his wife's "late honeymoon trip."

Various levels of cracking and mold have appeared on various indoor walls due to flooding and water leakage, and a large number of floors have even suffered serious damage due to burst water pipes. Home before renovation
Before the renovation, the owner’s home was a lattice house with three bedrooms and two living rooms of about 130 square meters. Not only was the distance between the north and south sides too long, but there was also a wall in the middle, which severely reduced the indoor lighting area.

The lighting in the living room is dark and the items are messy. The cabinets in the living room are filled with children's toy models and figures collected by the client. The floor had previously been flooded with water, causing cracks and deformation, and a strong musty smell.

This is the area where the client usually works. The client’s wife is a part-time piano teacher, so this is also the piano room where his wife takes lessons.
The cabinets are filled with figurines and models, and there is an extreme lack of storage space. My wife’s piano has been played for many years and is very old. There are also cracks in the ceiling of the studio.

The master bedroom doesn't have much furniture and looks relatively empty overall. The floor, like the one in the living room, was cracked and warped.

Remodeled home
The entrance has a separate entrance area, and the sink next to the door can be used for hand washing and cleaning. There are recesses on the ground where wet shoes can be placed on rainy days. On the other side of the door is the shoe cabinet, and a disinfection section is designed.
The TV background wall in the living room has a wavy wave pattern, and there are adjustable storage cabinets on both sides. A resort-style curved sofa paired with a resort-style round chair can give the living room the feeling of being on vacation at the seaside.
The designer reduced the proportion of the kitchen and used the space as a dining room. The tabletop of the dining table is in the shape of ocean waves, just like the waves of crystal, which is high-end and artistic.
In the design of the kitchen, in order to create a leisurely meal preparation environment, the designer chose beautiful L&D-silver willow for the wall. The pure off-white space forms a good transition with the guest dining room without being obtrusive, allowing the client to Being able to enjoy meal prep time.

Sound-insulating cotton is added to the walls of the piano room to avoid disturbing family members while practicing. Frosted glass cabinets increase storage space, for the client to display the collected figures.
The ocean resort leisure style of the master bedroom continues the style of the living room. The walls are paved with aqua blue gradient art paint to create a textured state.
The water-patterned transparent glass is looming, adding to the atmosphere.
According to the client's request, a large dressing table was specially added for the client's wife.
The bathroom has been cleansed of the darkness and dampness before the renovation. The beautiful L&D-Cobb color is used for the walls. The blue walls perfectly match the ocean resort style. The overall refreshing atmosphere matches the style of the living room and master bedroom.

Q: How do you evaluate the design and renovation results of this renovation project? A: Overall, I am satisfied. The biggest feeling is that this design renovation is a comprehensive ability test for myself and the team. In a very limited 14 days, we have to complete the design, construction and soft decoration. We have really completed it. An impossible task. My regular villa private house projects in the past usually required a year-long process of design, construction and soft decoration. This time we did not have to run, it was rocket-like speed.
